My prediction: some unhinged lunatic RWNJ (pardon the triple redundancy) will finally snap and will go all Breivik on some unfortunate group of perceived enemies -- and that will mark the end of all this "civil war" and secession nonsense.

Sadly, I think you've found a winning horse, there.
tim was not trying to start a war. 1995 was a different era as well. the feds were already backing down on the awb94 and some juries were refusing to convict people for violating it as well.
if it came own to the feds minus the military against firearms owners, the feds will lose. if the military gets involved as a whole, the gun owners will lose. I for one believe that if such does happen over the 2nd Amendment, the military as a whole will stay out of it and not choose sides.
if that happens, then the political machine of the fed will lose.
People overwhelmingly do not sacrifice their careers for their "isms." They will stay enlisted and do as they are ordered, in this case, apprehend a straggly band of armed red necks who don't have their priorities straight.

Assuming the military will even need to be troubled to show up. These straggly armed idiots are nothing the police forces can't handle.
I have several books on McVeigh. Fascinating character....man stood by his beliefs and principles...I was young when he struck a blow against the government but I followed him when he was in prison and when they murdered him.
Hitler stood up for his beliefs too. So did Stalin, Mao, etc...... And they all struck out at government rulers as well. People generally defend what they believe in - that alone doesn't make them right or admirable. It's the beliefs and actions that count. Is collateral damage okay in some situations and not okay in others?

too bad for the democrats the 2nd Amendment is not an ism. soldiers will not go against the Constitution.
no government has lasted forever. it is only a matter of time before this one goes away too.
Very true. But nothing says you and your pals can't hurry it along, right? Better act quickly, before 0bama the Kenyan Marxist Dictator beats you to it.
