Then that means the gun was loaded. If the gun truly was unloaded they would not have been shot.

Old video. Open carry of any firearm loaded, unloaded, handgun or long gun is BANNED in California. Yes, long gun. Must have it in a locked case from your home to the gun store or other area guns are allowed.

The words "Oh, it's not loaded, see?" have been followed by a loud bang on many an occasion - at times with tragic results.

There are guns that owners "think " are unloaded and then there are truly unloladed guns, completely different.

Yep.

And we can assume that this woman believes that truly unloaded guns can shoot people or we can wonder if the conversation on either side of the few seconds of video that we saw was about guns that people thought were unloaded.

One of those positions would be rational.

No! They are shot by loaded guns that they thought were unloaded. You cannot be shot by a gun that is actually unloladed. Nice try though.

No rationality. An elected official says that gun sitting on a desk will shoot people even if if it is unloaded. Remember kids, guns kill people. See a gun? Slowly step back as to not startle it. Then tell your teachers and the local reporter about your frightful encounter with a gun.

Is this a reference to some actual incident?

Would it be better for an elected official to tell kids to go pick up a gun that they find sitting on a desk?

You haven't conveyed your point
