If the idiots in NJ don't understand why some intelligent people voted against this wasteful bill they can just fix their flooded or destroyed homes on their own, move to higher ground or buy proper insurance morons.
Really?

What are we talking about here? The warnings about rising sea levels that the climate deniers believe are bunk or something else?

Please do enlighten us.

NASA notes sea level is falling in press release – but calls it a “Pothole on Road to Higher Seas” | Watts Up With That?

My question to the Tea Party "Patriots":

Why? What have our brothers and sisters in the Northeast, who have been struggling with such devastation, done to deserve such inhumane treatment by the Republican Party? Why such hate? Where is the "compassionate conservatism" that George W. Bush used to talk about? What does the Bible say about this?
Thanks for NOT providing any of the context as to why they may have voted against it.

So out of 100 Senators, only 36 have even READ the Constitution, which forbids the Fed govt from spending money on local problems?

I agree: We are in a SAD state if that's how it is.

Expansion of the Head Start program in NY and NJ with part of that money going to HHS who can give it to other states if it's for substance abuse programs, a new roof for the Smithsonian (which needed a new roof before Sandy), Federal Highway money for projects in Guam and American Samoa, money to NASA for some new satellites, every agency put in for administrative recoupment of salaries and expenses, new cars, HUD for building more Section 8 housing, money to the military for ammunition, funds for Tribal clean water, funds for the Nuclear Detection Office to buy something (just listed as acquisition funds, not repair), Veteran's Affairs to plan, design a new medical facility, Amtrak gets an "operating subsidy grant".

Every government agency including all branches of the military are getting reimbursed for administrative expenses.
I actually wonder how much of it will be left for NY and NJ after the Fed agencies finish taking what they want.

And there's a whole list of amendments that I haven't even touched.

So many people on this forum are idiot, partisan sheeple for some political party. Just name a bill "Feed The Children Bill" cram hundreds of billions of pork to enrich corporations and political cronies, that have nothing to do with children, into the bill. Then when sensible, principled politicians vote it down for all the pork, these idiots on CD-Data will fall right in line and demonize those who voted against it.

Good. Too bad it passed without offsets in spending.

I am all for it.

For once I would like to see these Red states stop stretching out their hands for government handouts.

Plus the indications of a rough year weather wise are here...starting tonight a strong thunderstorm moves through the south/southeast...see the Red state calls for government handouts rise this year

Well it is a good thing Sandy effected a number of states. Also, which part of the Constitution are you referring to that forbids the federal government from spending money on "local problems?"

Exactly. If the bill was pure disaster relief, everyone would have voted for it.
