Wal-Mart provides benefits for their employees. May not be grand but it's better than nothing.

What benefits? List them please. Also list the cost. Saying to someone making 8 bucks an hour that they can pay 80% of that for benefits doesn't count.

What is it with you people? You pay now for everyone anyway. Medicare, medicaid, VA, not to mention insurance companies operate on the principle that large groups contribute to cover those premium payers in need of benefit.

Group coverage is a whole lot different than independent coverage. Read up.

Criticism of Walmart - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In 2011, Walmart stopped providing health insurance for part-time employees working under 24 hours per week. In 2013, health insurance benefits will not be available to employees who work fewer than 30 hours per week

Do you have a link stating exactly what Obama wanted? I remember him being very noncommittal to saying what exactly he wanted. He passed the buck to Congress as usual.
His 2008 campaign was financed by nice contributions from health insurers and drug manufacturers. That is why they got a seat at the table on Obamacare negotiations and got their wet dream in Obamacare: 30 million new customers, most subsidized by Uncle Sam!

Thank Obamacare for that change.

This bill was not a result of the republicans...they were shut out...remember, try really hard...you can do it. The dems were testing the polls and came up with this crap of a bill and it is a win win for the insurance companies. But just think for one moment if single payer did go into effect and all those insurance companies went belly up how many people would be added to the unemployment rolls. So baby steps.
