Mosquitoes are like cockroaches. You can NEVER get rid of them no matter how hard you try.

I lived in Florida and mosquitoes are just part of life there.

People are moving to Texas because the business climate is friendly, the economy is strong (statewide unemployment is below 6%) and the taxes and cost of living are very low. I assume that most moving to Florida are doing so for the weather or for retirement.
Well, NOW they are anyway. The Republican party has figured out (finally) that the wildcard Tea Partiers hurt them in this election, so they are taking baby steps to try and distance themselves. Prior to that - it seems to me that the Repubs welcomed the tea partiers with open arms. More moderate Republicans are also trying to distance themselves from the right-wing entertaiment complex including Limbaugh, Hannity, and Coulter. We'll see if it works.

Republicans must be doing something right if more people (and business) keep moving South.

When it comes to making money and business I'm with Republicans.
When it comes to social issues for the most part I'm with Democrats.
Industry is not just fleeing a socialist paradise. That just correlates with high cost which isn't just taxes. Some people don't get it including my competition when I would arbitrage goods from low cost of living regions and beat the price of people who sourced locally. I guess most people still don't get it. Who owns the land and how much do they charge? That is the foundation of all economy and I made money knowing this fact when I was in my twenties. In other words Republicans are blind to all the enemies of industry thinking there is only one.

If your gonna talk the talk, you gotta walk the walk.

It really wasn't as it meant the state lost tens of millions of dollars through just out right waste. The cost of the drug tests was ~18 times higher than the amount saved from kicking people who tested positive off of welfare. Worse, Gov Scott give a no bid contract to the company he founded and which he is the single larest shareholder for so it was nothing but corruption and a lose of taxpayer money from start to finish.

Wouldn't there be some sort of law against the butchering of a state?

You might not want to do that.

It would make you own up to the typical Texan lie you so predictably perpetuate.

I'm going to go to Mother Jones for information on the effects of Tea Party policies right after I find out about racial equality from the KKK.
