There are links to several interviews of Zimmerman by the police at this website. If you listen to them, you will see that Zimmerman's story doesn't make sense.

Well, following or walking in the same direction as somebody isn't a crime or reason to get into a fight. He never should have talked to the cops without a lawyer though.

It could be seen as stalking.

Even if it's not a crime, it's suspicious and threatening behavior. First he followed Trayvon in his truck. And then went forth on foot searching for the kid. If someone did that to me on a dark rainy night I would be freaked out. He then reported to the dispatcher that Trayvon was running away from him. Someone who is running away from you is no threat to you. He is scared of you, and is trying to get away from you.

And when the dispatcher asked Zimmerman if he was chasing Trayvon. Zimmerman answered yes.

Also, the police asked Zimmerman the following question. If as Zimmerman claims Trayvon finally emerged out of the darkness (when Zimmerman supposedly wasn't looking for him, but was just "walking in the same direction"), and Trayvon really did say, "What's your problem homie?", why didn't Zimmerman simply answer, "I'm on the Neighborhood Watch. You're not familiar to me. Are you visiting someone?"

Instead of course, there is no proof that Trayvon asked Zimmerman anything. The last words Trayvon's girlfriend heard over the phone occurred when Trayvon and Zimmerman finally encountered each other the last time, and she heard a man's voice ask in an angry way, "What are you doing here?" or something like that. For all we know, at that point Zimmerman was reaching for his gun in a threatening manner, and Trayvon became afraid for his life.

And of course while he was "not chasing" Trayvon, Zimmerman also referred to Trayvon as a "**** punk." And had already said to the dispatcher, "these ****s always get away." What made Trayvon a punk? What was he doing wrong? Nothing.

1 - Trayvon caught Zimmerman's attention and Zimmerman started following him. Zimmerman was a member of the Neighborhood Watch program.

2 - Zimmerman had a gun. Trayvon was unarmed.

3 - Trayvon was returning from a trip to the corner store back to his step-mother's condo where his little brother was waiting for him. He was carrying Skittles and a container of Iced Tea.

4 - Trayvon had no criminal history, nor any charges against him for violent crime. He had been suspended three times from school, but because of tardiness, graffiti and having a marijuana pipe.

5 - In 2005 Zimmerman was charged with assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest. The charges were reduced, then dropped when Zimmerman entered a pre-trial diversion program. Also in 2005, Zimmerman's ex-fiance filed a restraining order against him, alleging domestic violence. Zimmerman requested a reciprocal restraining order. Both orders were granted. Shooting of Trayvon Martin - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

6 - Trayvon placed a call to his girlfriend during the time period Zimmerman was following him.

7 - Zimmerman placed a call to the police to say he saw a suspicious person, he admitted that he had been tailing Martin in his truck, and was told not to pursue him further. At that point he was in his truck, on the phone, and he was under no threat from Trayvon. But he admits that he did get out of his truck and follow Martin. He at no point indicated that Martin had followed him.

8 - When Trayvon and Zimmerman finally encountered each other, Zimmerman had his gun on him.

9- Zimmerman shot Trayvon in the chest.

10 - Trayvon was found dead about 170 feet from his step-mother's condo.

The rest is going to come down to witnesses and testimony, including Zimmerman's own statements to the police, crime scene analysis, and analysis of the events in time.

11. Trayvon had Martin down on the ground. Trayvon was sitting on top of Zimmerman banging Zimmermans head into the ground and striking Zimmerman in the face. Zimmerman was in fear of losing his life and fired his firearm in self defense.

You for forgot that part. That's the part that matters the most.

Let's assume that's true. Why in the world would Trayvon Martin be trying to kill Zimmerman? Even if he was scared because Zimmerman was following him in the dark, why would he then try to kill Zimmerman? Remember, there was no indication that Trayvon was involved in a crime up to that point and he had no history of violence or violent crime. Whereas Zimmerman did. Trayvon wasn't skulking around in the dark with a gun. He was walking home from the store with his Skittles and iced tea.

Flip that around and explain why George Zimmerman would be trying to kill Trayvon outside of self defense?

Why don't you answer first why Trayvon would be trying to kill Zimmerman? He's walking home from the store, minding his own business. Why would he suddenly try to kill George Zimmerman?

I'm guessing because he was less than 170 feet from the door to his step-mother's condo. He was trying to make a dash for it, until he was intercepted by Zimmerman.

And, speaking from my own experience of having five sons (the youngest one is seventeen), I absolutely believe that a teenage boy especially will be less inclined to call the police, especially that close to his destination.

Even the most passive of teenage boys have a sense of empowerment and pride and I absolutely believe that Trayvon felt he could handle the situation - probably not realizing at the time that his stalker had a gun.

Especially a black male teenager in Stanford, Florida.
