It isn't just about the woman's body but another human being growing inside of her.
That woman has a life. She has a obligation and a right to consider the impact that pregnancy and a child will have on her life. The people so concerned about this "another human being" seem to very concerned with it being born, but afterwards, they have limited concern for the child, and feel free to criticize the mom for bringing it into the world. "If she couldn't afford it, she shouldn't have had it." Followed up by, "She should have kept her legs closed if she didn't want a child." Which is just another way of saying that if women have sex, they deserve to be punished for their sexual activity.
That's easy for you to say, when YOU aren't the one who has to change your eating, sleeping, exercise patterns, might have to quit schooling, or your job, and could have permanent medical issues from pregnancy.
Why didn't they think about that before they jumped into the sack unprotected? They were irresponsible and now want the easy way out. I accept the consequences of my mistakes so you're off base talking about me.
With all due respect if you believe in God. There are numerous teachings in Scripture that make it abundantly clear what God’s view of abortion is. Jeremiah 1:5 tells us that God knows us before He forms us in the womb. Psalm 139:13-16 speaks of God’s active role in our creation and formation in the womb. Exodus 21:22-25 prescribes the same penalty—death—for someone who causes the death of a baby in the womb as for someone who commits murder. This clearly indicates that God considers a baby in the womb to be as human as a full-grown adult. For the Christian, abortion is not a matter of a woman’s right to choose. It is a matter of the life or death of a human being made in God’s image (Genesis 1:26-27; 9:6).
So for the women out there that believe in God. Please reconsider your decision if your thinking of having an abortion.
And for those that don't follow your brand of religion, keep your nose out of their uterus.

There are two lives involved here. No one should have the right to teminate another life because it inconviences them. Punishing her for having sex? WTH? There is birth control available you know.
