Using the Boston marathon bombing is simply a ploy to derail or delay consideration of the immigration reform legislation proposed in the U.S. Senate. Nothing more than that. Apples to oranges comparisons/issues.

Once again, do they think the American People are stupid?
The problem is that the bombers were LEGAL immigrants and entered the country as kids. How can you tell than an 8 year old kid will become a violent criminal or a terrorist in 10 years?

The older brother was on the radar, should have been watched, could have been watched. Someone gave the excuse for not doing so was because he checked out clean, and 'watching a citizen without reason' wasn't right.

Seems to me the alert from Russia was reason enough to keep an eye on him.

According to Lindsy Graham, he was on the watchlist, but his visit to Russia did not register because the airline misspelled his name. What more can you do? I am not sure how that is an immigration issue.

I have been talking about getting rid of illegals for the very same reason. When most of the people around here looked like I do we did not have to even bother to lock our doors. I wrote the president and told him this. Now that we have all these immigrants in the country showing up on the news nightly; I not only have to lock our doors, I bar the door with a chair so that anyone trying to break in by knocking the door down will break their legs instead over the chair, hopefully.

People who do not live in areas that are saturated with these people do not understand what some of us have to put up with on a daily basis. I am scared to go shopping by myself. Women are disappearing from parking lots.

The laws are there. Why are our officials not doing their jobs. I am tired of political correctness. I want some safety and my vote will go along with that. Anyone who sees what I see on a daily basis in an area that used to be safe, does not want immigration reform. I want immigration enforcement. The president wrote me back that I had an interesting prospective. Wanting our laws enforced is "an interesting prospective." Mr. President, that is just the law. You ought to start enforcing it for a change.

No reform--send these people packing. The sooner the better. Anyone who comes into our country illegally is not someone that should ever have an opportunity for citizenship is my opinion. They are not dependable, law-abiding people. They are criminals. Breaking the law is a criminal offense. Criminals should be deported.

People say that most Americans want this reform. I don't believe it. If that is true, let's put it to a vote. It would lose and any elected person who votes for making it easy for these people to stay needs to be defeated the next election. I will use everything within my power to see that they do too. So if you are thinking about getting votes; you might want to think about that.
