The Fourteenth Amendment broadened the definition of citizens to include African-Americans and others who were previously excluded (including WOMEN). The Amendment also guarantees certain legal rights, such as due process and equal protection to all.

Ah, anyone and everyone other than those granted diplomatic immunity come under the jurisdiction of the United States the second they step foot on any part of American soil. By your logic any foreign national can walk up behind slap you up the head with a smart bat, and be immune from arrest or prosecution which we all know is not the case.

Have you even bothered to drive through the US? There are millions of acres of open land, all for the taking. Resources are taxed? Only because we haven't bothered to expand our infrastructure to find and replenish those resources.

We aren't even overpopulated in the US.

Yes they are, in every SENSE of the word. If they break the laws in the US, they can be tried and convicted ON OUR soil, IN OUR court systems, and CAN BE JAILED here.

that's what subject to our jurisdiction means. To be subject to our laws (all of them). Not when they are not violating them.
Nope! They are only subject to the jurisprudence of our laws, that's all! That isn't the same thing as holding allegience to our country and being subject to that allegience. Even foreigners not giving birth on our soil are subject the jurisprudence of our laws while here but that doesn't make them citizens of our country. There has never been a case tried in the SC about citizenship for kids of illegal aliens and that is what needs to happen.

Clearly, the 14th Amendment is not conferring “natural born” status on anyone, it only confers simple citizenship and the universal rights given to all citizens, native born and naturalized.

It is a term for illegal alien parents giving birth on our soil by doing so they think they can anchor themselves onto our country. WTH does racism have to do with it? Racist against whom? Who is anti-"immigration"? It is an objection to ILLEGAL immigration. Learn to know the difference....moron.

These children are nationals and citizens of another country, who happen to be natural-born citizens of the United States.
