Ah, so you are the arbiter of what is liberalism and what isn't.... How convenient.

And don't question my work ethic and don't pretend to know me based off an anonymous forum.... That's just not very intelligent. Personal attacks aren't becoming of you.

And what does it matter? You are going to disagree with anything I say anyway.
You'd be surprise. I however, disagree with dealing with absolutes, which you seem to be pushing for.

Let's put it this way:

Liberalism is seeing the world as you wish it should be rather than how it is, has always been and always will be.
And how is conservatism any different? Both sides try and box the world into their ideologies, but quite frankly the world doesn't give a crap about ideology.

Debt isn't a bad thing in itself. Japan is a good model for a country with very high debt and a very high standard of living. Does Japan have it's problems, absolutely but they ain't doing too bad either.

Haha hell? Obviously you've never been to Japan or know little about it. It is more egalitarian than America. Again, it certainly has it's problem but it has high debt and a very high standard of living. Look at the metrics compared to the US. A lot of these industrialized Asian countries have demographic problems stemming from a lack of immigration and low birth rates.

After the 1900's and the 1930's being exposed for what it was after WW-II and Communism / Socialism being everything against the American way of life, the hardcore Wilson, Hoover, FDR Truman Progressives crawled under a rock and reemerged and rebranded as Liberals, but there policies are anything but liberal. It is all about control and micro-managing life.
The masks came off in 2006 when Hilary announced that she was a New Age Progressive.
Obama soon followed.

I never understood this line of thought.....These were the reactions to a rapidly industrializing world that was producing great economic and social inequality. This is simply cause and effect. I'm not sure how you can say they hated the American way when it was clearly failing a majority of citizens.

My source is google, it's pretty user friendly and easy to use.

edit:
OECD is a great site for comparing and contrasting developed countries: Japan. Took 17 seconds.

This thread was linked in another thread by a poster which led me here. So have you moved past absolutes over these 6 months?
