The country is changing. So be it.
Now change all the labels and categories that go with it.
The new minorities should be afforded the same minority protection the old minorities had.
I don't want to be discriminated against because I'm not Hispanic.
One thing is that non-white countries all failed so far (except some in Asia).
I think it is a culture thing. Most non-western cultures have not figured what to do.
We are discussing America, correct? Why bring into the discussion non Asian-Americans or non Black-Americans?
Correct, but to a FAR lesser extent than European immigrants. Blacks have been in the United States since the beginning and been over jumped economically by every immigrant group.
Hispanic is a stagnant culture. I don't see any Spanish speaking nations prospering
Sure to hear how this is great news from white-hating leftists.
This is great news. The stronger their numbers, the less they will be persecuted. I don't think we can truly achieve equality until their numbers are strong enough to demand it.
What race would that be, exactly? What is "white" or "black" or "Asian?" Is it just superficial appearances?
The United states is a melting pot of all races, ethnicities and cultures, so trying to divide people up, and place them into boxes with a race label slapped on it, is going to be awfully hard to do. Many Americans whose families have been in this country for generation, have ancestors who are of multiple variations of races.

Even if we were all of the same race, the bigots still divide us up by appearances, political affiliations, religions, gender, sexual preferences, etc... Even among the same race, people are vilified and ostracized if they profess a different political or ideological view.
So if you think a majority of any race will bring Utopia, your are mistaken. The Hutu and Tusi slaughtered each other, looks like having the same skin color is not the great equalizer, is it.
Why do people care so much? There is a lot more variety amongst people within races/ethnicities as there is between races/ethnicities. A lot of the people who are black, Hispanic, or Asian I barely even notice unless we're forced to make an issue about it.
Besides, for those of you white people who are concerned about Hispanics becoming a majority - there are about 190 million white people in the U.S., compared to 50 million Hispanics (many of whom blend in quite easily.) Even now, with more than half of children under 5 being minorities, than means that about 48% or so are white, which means that black, Hispanic, Asian, and Native American COMBINED equals 52%. There are still more white children being born than any other group right now. This is all silly though because Hispanics are not a monolithic group bent on destroying Anglo culture anyway.
