That might be one of the dumbest comments I have seen on this site because it isn't even rooted in reality. Liberalism had nothing to do with the Sonics moving. The fact is, they wanted the city to build them a new stadium, the city offered to renovate the Key Arena, the offer was turned down and Seattle lost their team.

Do you really call the Key Arena and Seattle Center "professional" venues?

Seattle deserved a true NBA arena in downtown Seattle.

Why do you think I called that Clyde dude a traitor?

He did not act in the best interest of the Supersonics.

The Key Arena, yes I do, if the Sonics wanted a bigger stadium in Seattle during a recession, then they should of found the money to build it themselves instead of trying to force the people of Seattle to foot the bill and build it for them. It was a stupid move on the Sonics part.

You are calling me wrong, but I am going by the info YOU Provided. You said the county would have paid for the renovations in the liberals plans, last time i checked, the county was funded by tax payers right ?

Lol at conservative responsibility. this has nothing to do with liberalism or conservatism, the team did not own the arena, you are contradicting your own logic by saying they should fix up an arena that they dont own.

Maybe you remember the Sonics playing in a stadium in Seattle, but Harrier only remembers Michigan defeating Seton Hall(1989), UCLA defeating Arkansas(1995) - both in Kingdome, and the Sonics playing a few games in the early 90's at Tacoma Dome and Kingdome.

It was called Key Arena - not stadium.

Portland Blazers call their home the Rose Garden Arena. Seriously, are you just making this stuff up as you go. Again, why should the people of Seattle be forced to build a new stadium during a recession for a team? Shouldn't the team pay for their own stadium if they are truly supporting conservatism, and shouldn't you support the idea of the team paying for their own stadium instead of relying on tax payer money?

Kobe has had good and great teams his entire career. Can you even name Lebron's teammates in Cleveland without googling them ?
Leaving Cleveland wasnt the issue.

Colluding with two other franchise players (one who already had a title under his belt) in order to cakewalk to titles was the issue. It was akin to Jordan teaming up with Stockton and Malone to take make the process of winning a ring as easy as possible.

No it wouldnt have been because Jordan has Pippen,Grant and Rodman(who had 2 titles already when he got there).

Your argument against Lebron is based on other people having teams built around them while Lebron simply decided he would do the same thing by just going to a different team.

No one attacked the Lakers for doing it this year with Howard, Steve Nash, and Kobie( they tried to get Chris Paul as well), no one said anything about the NYKs and Mello, or what about the Celtics.

It seems to be that people are pissed at a player for being able to control his own career rather than be controlled by the team that currently held his contract, because team management try to do this all the time.

again, name the players lebron played with in CLeveland and tell me what they have done before and after and then compare them to who Jordan and Kobe and other greats had on their team.

And guess what happened when the city refused to pay for a new stadium? The team moved to a city that was willing to pay for a new stadium because that is how professional sports works.

And, no Harrier I am not a conservative, I just think multi-millionaires should pay for their own stadiums rather than relying on the tax payers to fund their pet projects. Think of it like the whole Occupy Wall St., this is about making the 1% pay for their toys rather than relying on the 99% to pay for everything for them.
