They wouldn't. It wasn't on the kids person. It was near the scene. There is no evidence that TM had it or ever did.

Those injuries to George could have been Trayvon defending himself against George....loaded gun and MMA training and all. Unfortunately George killed the opposing witness.

So there is no evidence that the slim Jim was Trayvon's. if he didn't buy one and his finger prints aren't on it, I don't see why this matters.
