In Tennessee we had a big billboard that said that right along the Interstate. It was "non-partisan."

I'm convinced people vote for Reps and Senators based on name recoginition.

If only 90% (arbitrary) of Senate Democrats get re-elected, then Democrats and Barack Obama will have a major problem because that will mean that Republicans may take over the majority in the Senate.

Be careful what you ask for.

The system is not rigged.

In case you don't understand, people are not elected via the popular vote. It's like this ON PURPOSE.

Well the Egyptians have figured out how to throw politicians out of office.

Yeah, like we had such a great choice last time. A former Repugnican Congressman who wanted to be a Senator, and a Demoncrapic Senator who wanted to be re-elected.
I really did NOT want to vote for Jon Tester, but no way in HELL was I going to vote for "Sue-the-city-for-not-putting-the-fire-out" lawyer/rancher Rehberg!
Same thing with the Presidential election; didn't want to vote for Romney, but no way would I have voted for obama.

"lets throw these bums out of office"

The phrase needs to go away? NO, definitely not! It needs to be written everywhere, to remind ALL of us to NEVER vote FOR an incumbent again! If nothing else, vote Libertarian or Constitution Party, but DO NOT vote for any incumbent!
"career politicians" must GO!

Most American voters would re-elect them.

Example is during the 2012 election cycle when there was a lot of bellyaching and complaining about the politicians in the WH and both houses of congress, yet during election night, the vast majority of them were re-elected with only slight shifts in congress.

Then again, the choice of candidates to chose for is so poor that the average voter have to decide which is "the lesser of the two evils".

Another factor is that many voters are uninformed that they only voted for a politician of name recognition.

The American political system no doubt, needs a major overhaul.
