Four hundred federal, state, and local police were involved in an investigation and raid of several motels in Tukwila, WA (a suburb of Seattle) for drug and/or prostitution activity. Two hundred officers were on the scene around 6AM this morning. I guess they wanted to have plenty of manpower and firepower in case any of the girls decided to duke it out.
So far, three arrests have been made. So how many cops does it take to arrest for illegal screwing? The answer appears to be 133.33 LOL. Okay, okay, the cops say that many more are 'likely' to be arrested. But still...

LOL...a misprint maybe? I looked at that place here on city-data, and it has '69 full time officers' that get paid 1/2 million a year.....WTF??
I would think there'd be money in doing asset forfeitures on the big banks or Goldman Sachs.
Why? The govt owns them already. Almost all, if not all publicly traded corps have govt as the largest shareholder. They fine them, but they don't want to kill their gravy train.

I doubt it's $500,000 per officer per year, even including all their benefits. Police in King County are well paid, particularly the sheriffs department but not quite that well.
The 2012 salary range for deputies is $60,275-$84,398 Salary & Benefits
Plus a car they can take home, benefits, retirement, overtime pay...it all adds up.
