Actually, there is one that I haven't been on for awhile, and I can't remember why I stopped going there, but I will DM you a link so you can check it out for yourself - when I can remember its name. lol
How? Would you have been willing to do what he did to ensure that Black people and everyone else got the same rights? He brought publicity to the issue of civil rights, he was the one marching, getting people organized to boycott places and protest the horrid treatment of blacks. He was willing to die for his cause. He was a leader in the Civil Rights movement. In fact, JFK didn't initially propose Civil Rights legislation until the firehose incident in Birmingham. Dr King was willing to go through all of that. He led the bus boycott in Montgomery. I was able to get things accomplished without using violence. Overrated? I don't see how being able to have the same rights and freedoms as everyone else is overrated, unless this is stuff that you are against.
no. I was right. he is the end product of someone being on television. do you think JFK is remembered fondly for being a good president? no. he was remembered because he was one of the first ones on TV. both of their legacies are blown out of proportion because both were murdered.

Unfortunately, there is more than just this thread that proves racism is rampant; it's all over City Data, even though the TOS clearly states that racism won't be allowed here.
To be fair, the same thing is taking place on another forum I participate on, too.
I'm beginning to think I need to find a better class of people to hang out with on the internet.
there is nothing "racist" with disagreeing with someone's legacy. there is something against the TOS about personal attacks. like calling someone a "racist" who has said nothing racist.
You are all the proof anyone needs. Just like many of the other white trash sitting in their trailer houses thinking of ways to trash talk minorities. I see racism first hand, and know what some white people say when minorities aren't around. You see, I'm a white male, from Texas, drive a truck, wear my camo hat, hunt, and fish. So other white people are very comfortable in saying what they really think around me. So I know how racist people are, and you fit the very profile of one.

Good luck with finding a place that is not over-run by them these days, as you know I was not participating here for a while and spending my time on two other boards, I have now left both of them because both were were ruined by the racists over-loading the site with thread upon thread just like this one. It looks like this section of this board is having the same thing happen and as you can see no one with any power is doing a thing about it. I am still looking and when I find a better site I will be sure to let you know, and I will once again leave this site to whatever fate the owners and mods think is best for the sites future, hopefully they will do something before all the rational posters say enough is enough and walk away, I do not really expect them to, no other did even after being warned by severla posters what would eventually happen. As the saying goes I was looking for a good discussion board when I found this one ......................

I know what you say. I'm fair Native American and can pass for white all of my life. I have empathy for the African American as the other minority most discriminated against by the white ruling class has been the Native American so I know what they go through.

You could have been describing me there and I know exactly what you mean, since we look like them they think we think like them, it is because they judge people by their looks and not by their character. The stuff I have heard coming from "good white folks" would make some people ill just to hear it said out loud.
