frederick douglass was MLK decades before it was trendy to stand up for civil rights. he was smarter, and most say a better speaker. why do we celebrate MLK and not frederick douglass? because one was on TV. obama might have inspired 3 people in 2008, but now he is just war mongering. no clue about jesus. that was way before TV.
We do celebrate Fredrick Douglass Day. We just don't tell you about it. Don't want to spike your blood pressure. We celebrate lots of people and don't bother to tell you about it. Who the hell are you, anyway, that we should inform you of a black celebration?
lionsgators is just trying to antagonize, ignore him.
LWNJ's are priceless. I am voicing an opinion. you don't like it, so you get all flustered. if you don't think these three are overrated, then that is your business. I do.
Our president is a dolt
Abraham Lincoln was a war criminal
Martin Luther King was a nobody who did nothing for the nation or black Americans
Got it What time will you be blowing up the family pet?
Obama is a dolt, idiot, I can go on and on. Martin Luther King is a totally different story. Just listening to him give a speech can move mountains. Too bad he opened the path to Obama who had opportunities but blew it and didn't do a damn thing for Americans. There has to be better?
yes. MLK is a soundbite. it's not really debatable. perhaps you should waste your time on more words, and less emoticons.
Wrong again R and yes it is debatable, just not with you, you have gotten all of the time from me on here that you deserve.
I do have two more words for ya, but not allowed to say them here, come to Dallas, Texas, I will be happy to say them to your face

the sad thing is that you had to google frederick douglass.
this is a tsunami of overratedness. what kind of person would go listen to a dolt, give a speech at a memorial for a war criminal, honoring a guy who's only accomplishment in life was having a speech recorded on video? why are we basically shutting down a city to celebrate a guy who said some stuff into a microphone? although, I was in DC today, and didn't notice any crowds.
Well, considering that I can vote, eat wherever I want, live where I want, date who I want, and basically, I would have a better life today than I would have in 1963, I would say Dr. King did alot. Would you be willing to lead protests, get beaten over the head with a nightstick, nearly get stabbed, and basically put your life on the line so that everyone has the same rights? But I'm not surprised that you would attack Dr. King. It happened during the Dr. King holiday and it is happening now.
