But from the story, they recognized the suspect, so what happened to common police investigation and tracking a wanted person, rather than calling out 2 full SWAT Teams to shut down a whole neighborhood with 0 results?

They got all this domestic terrorist training, urban warfare training, and military toys.
They have to make use of them don't they ?

We're turning into the pictures of the police state we see in war torn countries

Yay, they captured a pooch
For Colorado this is progress.
Last year they would have just killed it.

Hey, everybody here has ten-twelve guns at his/her disposal. The police have to assume they'll be in a fire-fight every time they serve a warrant.

Oh that's right because Bleeding hearts don't like bad guys locked up. Bleeding Hearts prefer the POLICE STATE.
How do you KNOW the guy was "out on parole"? I didn't see anything in the article about his being on parole. It just said criminal history. You are aware that when a convicted person serves his/her sentence the prisons have to let them out, aren't you? Life without parole ever is not the sentence for every crime.

It is odd the the police call out the SWAT team so often these days. I can only guess it's a "use it or lose it" deal with the police.

What printed money from the Govt?

There is no such thing currently and hasn't been for years. The last Notes the Govt Printed were called "United States Notes" I still have a few.

I still have a few federal LIES too called 'Silver Certificates'. Federal Reserve notes are not printed by any Govt. This crap isn't money, not even close.

Well it should be. After serving time x cons should be tattooed with a target on their forehead. So for when they become violent again, we citizens can have a better point of aim.

I don't care if they just serve the time and get out, or if they are paroled out. It's the OUT part i have a problem with.

I don't know why some Americans continue to let this happen.

I don't support the Police either. I'll start supporting them when they start making arrest within their own department.

Agree with you Frank.

Well, since LE, nationwide, is hiring returning combat vets, in very high numbers, this is EXACTlY the problem.Trigger time in combat is not proper training for LE, but it's being construed as such. Tactics being used by regular cops, SWAT even more so, are increasingly violent. This is how they are trained. The police academy does not deprogram combat mentallity out. They cultivate it further.

LE tactics used to be seperate and distinct from warfare. Not much difference anymore.
