Actually there is an amendment against discrimination, you just choose to ignore it.
Also making a wedding cake has nothing to do with helping in a wedding, were they asked to preform in the wedding? Will the cake be marrying the couple, will you ever understand what discrimination means? One will never know.
Making the cake is participating; contributing to the wedding. Does a costume designer or set builder have nothing to do with a stage production? They're not performing, but they contribute to the event.
Either way, someone is being discriminated against, but it seems there are many who don't consider what happened to these bakers to be discrimination. Bake this cake that violates your religious beliefs, or we're going to sue you and destroy your business.

It was not a religious bakery. What in heck does their religion have to do with baking a cake, do they pray over every cake they make or bless them? They cannot use their religion to discriminate against their customers, PERIOD, same as they cannot use their religion to discriminate against Jews, Blacks, Asians, or any class of people, including gay people. How does baking this cake violate their beliefs, HOW? They do not participate in the wedding and most people would not know where the cake came from anyway. Having a religion is not a get to discriminate against people card. They make cakes for pagan ceremonies, divorces too and those are against their beliefs. The bakery is a big crybaby that wants to play, but not play by the rules. His religion belongs in his church and in his heart, but not in his business practices.
Her plan, as we reported, is to transition back to a home bakery. With five children, though, she said she’s not sure how a home bakery will fare.
The Oregon cottage foods laws state that children can not be present in the kitchen while cooking items for sale. With 5 home schooled children that is almost impossible.
I got no problem with some or many people not doing business with the baker. It's their prerogative.
After 99 pages -- did some people actually read Oregon's law, in its entirety, and Federal Statute on the public accommodations? I posted those links some pages ago.
There is clearly no law broken here. Just intimidation, public condemnation by some, death threats by others, and legal threat by the Civil Right Division, to make an example out of this baker, so that others can comply or else. Soviet-style tactics, guaranteed to back-fire, as they always have.
