What problem would they have since you have spoken to resturant owners? I'm sure most understand that that are in the service industry. Ever noticed menu's changing to reflect consumers asking for gluten free items? A good business owner provides not only good food, but an accurate description of what their product is and what it contains, because that is what serves his/her customers the best.

Funny , because as a former Restaurant manager, there are tons of REGULATIONS that a restaurant must follow (hence already controlling the business) in order to able to RUN as a restaurant. Everything from oven temperatures, to refrigeration temperatures, from washing dishes to employee bathroom etiquette, from rodent/pest control, to storage of food, dishes and utensils.

yet adding caloric information to a menu is worst than all of the above?

seriously what reality do you live in?

Portion size, now you are just talking crazy. Steaks I suppose should be labeled, little, bigger, and biggest by that logic.

it's a calorie count on a menu...its not the federal govenrment force feeding you. Try to keep it in context.

It's no hardship on business owners to have a few extra numbers printed for their customers. I'm sure their customers will appreciate the information. You are really grasping at straws here.

No they are not. they are telling business to add caloric information to their menu. Not how to format it. The business are free to design their menu the way they want.

As with most, many are just including the caloric amount right at the end of the description of the food item.

On Fast food menus, the caloric amount is right next to the food item

In fact many restaurants use it as a SELLING POINT:

As usual we see the liberals have no problem telling others how to run their business and never seem to run out of ideas for spending someone elses money.
They wont be happy till its all chains and crony corps
