So a guy bludgeons his girlfriend to death in a fit of rage using nothing but his bare hands and he shouldn't be able to own a gun after he is out of prison? What's stopping him from beating down his next girl?
If a person is deemed safe enough to walk the streets, then all rights should be restored.
