The Central Valley of California is the most productive agricultural region in the United States. The vast variety of fruits, nuts, and vegetables grown in the Valley is astounding, and the harvest from its fields is likely to be found in your mid-day salad. It's year round growing climate and its farmers ability to produce a surplus in critical crops allows California to feed not only the nation, but also the world.

That begs the question: Why do Democrats and liberals hate the Republicans who feed them?
Please, I get fed by a bunch of poor brown people, and hypocritical white guys who take government subsidies hand over fist and then complain about welfare queens.
"money confiscated at gunpoint" . You're not far from being an anarchist.
What do you think happens if you don't pay your taxes? At first a bill will be sent requesting payment, and perhaps your wages may be garnished, a lien placed on your property, or some other mechanism may be utilized to ensure payment of the funds. However, if one has a track record of nonpayment, they will be placed under federal custody, and charged with a crime. Guess with what the people who come to your door will be armed?
It is confiscation at gunpoint - and it is the favorite tool of the anti-liberty Democrats who must coerce people with force to comply with their asinine and destructive regulations.
Republicans believe in a free market, the industriousness and ingenuity of the American worker, and the opportunity for everyone to achieve their objectives through hard work and determination.
No force is needed - only an economic climate that fosters such productivity - which is best provided by a hands off approach by government, and low taxes.
Keep the government out of people's business, and let them thrive.
Farmers have always been mostly conservative. The uncertainty of growing crops makes them naturally conservative.
And most farmers are aging quickly now. The majority of our farmers are now in their 60's and 70's.
This may change as a new generation of people who were born and raised in suburbia are now returning to the land. These folks seek both a different lifestyle and a different way of making their living. As newcomers to farming, they are much more aware of the practices of the past, and are keeping those that work while seeking to change or eliminate those that don't work.
Most of them are better educated than the old generation, and most are quicker to adopt new technologies and are more willing to get more from less ground. Agriculture is under the economic radar, but it is undergoing as big a revolution as other sectors of our economy right now, and eventually will be just as different as other industries in years to come.
Are you seriously trying to claim that conservatives produce all of the food that Americans eat?
Without the farmers of the Central Valley - Americans would have much less variety and quantity of fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as meat and dairy products, all which are produced by the red counties of the region.
No - not only Republicans farm - but it is really odd that the left has so much hate for the people who provide such a bountiful harvest.

Meh.
And hypocritical white women. Michele Bachman had no problem accepting farm subsidy money, but I doubt she even knows what a field looks like. I don't think she toiled much or got dirt under her fingernails.
