Wall St is extremely unhappy with the Republican threats to default on the national debt and crash the US economy. They want the adults in the Republican Party to take the remote control away from the tea party crazies. They're threatening to start taking away their lobbyist cash unless the Republicans stop allowing the nutjobs to damage the economy yet again.

The heck with Wall Street. Those people have made out pretty well the last 5 years and with the fed pumping 80 billion a month into their wallets its time to dump them into the East River.

Default Obama: “I don’t pay attention to the stock market”

Wall st is appealing to the wrong guy.

They need to talk to harry and obama, who have been preaching a worse case scenario that they will chose to make happen at their discretion. It is obama who holds the nation hostage and it is obama who determines who gets hurt.

Only the Dems have talked of shutting down the government if they don't get their way.... No republican wants the government shut down.

"More on Obama: “I don’t pay attention to the stock market”

“What I’m looking at is not the day-to-day gyrations of the stock market, but the long-term ability for the United States and the entire world economy to regain its footing. And, you know, the stock market is sort of like a tracking poll in politics. You know, it bobs up and down day to day. And if you spend all your time worrying about that, then you’re probably going to get the long-term strategy wrong.” — Barack Obama, March 3, 2009"

They don't have to plead with the Repubs. All they need to do is defund them.

My main concern is that President Obama stands firm, and does not throw earned benefits under the neocon bus. If Wall Street takes action to reign in their Republicon minions, all the better.

Not surprising that the real uber rich (not upper middle class Obama thinks is the "rich") would be with Obama...

I could have sworn that the GOP was solidly in bed with Wall Street and would never do anything to upset them?

I guess the "great recovery" can't stand on its on feet, huh?
