Yes, you're reporting it. It's just not happening when Democrats, you know, vote.

And some people think what actually happens is more representative of reality than what you claim is happening. Just so you know.

Liberals true fascist colors are showing "we kept the white house and picked up a few seats in Congress so every must shut up and do as we say now!" They keep saying it over and over.

No. I was merely pointing out that the claim that the Democratic base was fleeing to third-party candidates has no actual evidentiary basis.

But if it makes you feel better to knock down the strawman claim that I was telling everyone to shut up, please continue. And enjoy yourself.

This is not exactly silly.

In Russian History we learned of this major strike. Unlike most of the ones we see in America, they were striking not so much for better wages/treatment etc, they were striking for the sake of striking. If I remember correctly, it was one of the causes of the communist movement in Russia. That was just workers, not even the government.

If the government shuts down, we could have some massive restructure of our system, changing laws and possibly throwing out some of our rights. This would happen after some anarchy and resulting panic. You can have peaceful anarchy with no problem (turns into city-states), but not as a crisis. People freak out during a crisis and elect Abe Froman, the sausage king of Chicago, who usually is a despot because their fragile little minds can't cope with not having someone order them around.

Republicans in the House have passed a bill that will fund all of the government at last year's levels, even including all the Democrats' pet projects from last year that Republicans (or at least conservatives) normally object to.

Democrats in the Senate have refused to pass that bill, or even vote on it, because it doesn't fund one new Dem pet project that wasn't part of the government last year, the ACA. But they are doing nothing to write a separate bill to fund that new pet project.

The more fanatical Democrats are insisting it's Republicans' fault that government isn't getting funded.

Can they get any sillier?
Makes no sense does it??

House getting set to send next volley to Senate where they will strip out the garbage and sent it back to House about 15min after it gets to Senate. This ping pong is fun to watch. With every iteration, Repub popularity goes down a few ticks. Will soon get down to a point that cannot get lower.

I just don't get what they are doing. They have retreated so far from the original position that it is pointless.

Defunding Obamacare was taken off the table long ago. This was their white whale in this whole debacle.

What is the point of any of this stuff at this point?

Can't conservatives see it is over? Pass a clean funding bill and raise the debt ceiling and focus on winning elections.

AFC is the law not some pet project. Many people are already seeing the benefits from it. It's the reublicans who are the fanatics trying to stop this when they can't. So their tactic is to try and delay it. And yeah it is the republicans fault when government shuts down. Voters had their chance to get rid of obamacare by electing Romney but they didn't. Instead of accepting defeat these conservative republicans would rather have the government shut down before they accept obamacare.

Lie. But it is a perfect illustration of how liberals think compromise means "do it our way, or else".

46% would blame Republicans
36% would blame Obama

Anyway, if only 46% are blaming Republicans aka less than the number of people who voted for Obama. I say "shut-er down"
