Surprise, surprise. The stupid employer mandate needs to go.

Quote:
But officials with the Service Trades Council, the coalition of unions that represents more than 30,000 full-time and part-time workers at Disney World, say they are hesitant to accept the offer because it could mean elevating some employees over more-senior part-timers who have been waiting for full-time positions.
Quote:
Other large employers in Orlando's tourism industry, which leans heavily on low-wage, low-benefit part-time labor, are also adjusting their work terms. SeaWorld Entertainment Inc. recently decided to cut hours for its part-time workers from a maximum of 32 a week to 28 a week. The Affordable Care Act defines full-time employees as those who work an average of at least 30 hours a week.

They also said that part-time laborers will not get any benefits.... why elevate some part-time to full-time when you can pay for the health benefits for all part-time employees as well... it is nice they are increasing full-time employees to get them full benefits... they may be the last full-time employees Disney will ever hire...

Since the requirement of 30 hours or more goes back a year on your work record this is no surprise or anything even to applaud.

False alarm.

It's Disney! You want full healthcare benefits from them? You might as well go apply to Taco Bell.

34 out of 35 new jobs, are part timers.. and their acting like a few companies hiring full time work, to those who have poverty wages, thus will be subsidized by the taxpayers, is something to celebrate..

Exactly --

Just like picking the gum out from under a table at a restaurant and chewing on it ...

But hey .. it's still gum ... right?
