I'm NOT trying to "Troll" but I wonder with "regular" American life taking many of the more common sense Mormon church beliefs like not drinking, smoking and so on as their own that it will wind up weakening the Mormons?

I don't know how Mormonism would be weakened by anything so common sensical as people in general coming to have a stronger interest in taking good care of their bodies. Could you explain your reasoning?
Mormons are making big strides in Central/South American countries and in the immigrant Hispanic population. Compared to the Catholic church it's less top-down authoritarian, allows lay people greater roles and importance and has a better social/fellowship life. The number of Hispanic congregations is rising.
I just read an article that said the church now has 15 million members.
I'm not LDS, but I live in a town where they're a majority, and I remember when their membership was 7 million less than 20 years ago. Doubling their size in such a short time is impressive, whether or not you agree with their religion and policies.

Yeah, they aren't a majority in this county, but they're an important minority around here and in Arizona overall.
That said, as long as they leave me alone and don't try to legislate their beliefs into law, i don't care about them one bit.

Unfortunately, they will probably do so. I say "unfortunately," and I'm a Mormon.
