After the Lack of Necessary Treatment because of the Siege of Gaza,

The Death of A Mother of Seven children

Gaza-Information Unit:

Palestinian medical sources announced the death of citizen, Aida Zuhair Hafez Abdul-Al (31 years old), in the Gaza Strip because of the lack of the necessary treatment for her cancer disease and not being able to travel abroad for treatment because of the closure of the crossings.

The husband of the deceased, Mr. Zakaria Abdel-Al, said to the People's Committee to face the Siege that his wife is considered as a "Myrter of the Siege". She passed away yesterday evening, on Saturday 10-11-2007, after the lack of necessary treatment because of the siege.

He added that his wife was sick, from the beginning of this year, with breast cancer. She traveled to Egypt to receive the necessary treatment, and doctors were able to control the disease, then she returned to the Gaza Strip with as stable and good health, but she has not been able to obtain chemical dose in the second stage for the treatment of the disease.

In addition, Abdel-Al added that his family sought to turn his wife away about three months ago, because of the inability of the Ministry of Health to provide the necessary treatment for her condition because of the siege, which resulted in the spread of cancer in her body, until she died.

It is worth mentioning that the diseased live in Almshaherh area, in Al-Tuffah, Gaza. She has five sons and two daughters; the youngest of her children is a ten-month-old baby. And her children are: "Yahya (12 years), Reda (10 years), Hamza (8 years), Hadel (6 years), Ibrahim (5 years), Mohamed (4 years), and Mustafa (ten months).

In this occasion, the People's Committee to face the siege has renewed its warning of the deteriorating of the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip and the death of dozens of cases like martyre Abdel-Al. Other cases like Abul-Al are "Bassam Harrara and "Dr. Nazmi Ashour", who all died because of the siege and the lack of necessary treatment to them.

The committee called the free world to intervene to stop the siege on the Gaza Strip, and save it before it is too late by opening the crossing points and allowing tens of sick cases to travel abroad for treatment, and the entrance of basic materials.

It is an absolute disgrace the way Israel has been effectively starving people in Gaza . Nothing new sadly. And it is getting worse and worse. Access to medical treatment is being denied to Palestinians ( including children the elderly and pregnant women), there is now a water crisis, Palestinian farmers cannot sell their crops as they are not allowed to travel anywhere .
And some people still believe this humanitarian crisis is something to be proud of.

I guess it's all part of the 'Blessings of Democracy'. The actions -- and more particularly perhaps, the inactions -- of this administration with respect to the Israeli-Palestinian situation are easily deserving of their own chapter in the books that future historians will write in assessing Bush as the worst President in US history. As with virtually everything else he has ever had his hands on, the only grade that can be assigned here is Miserable Failure...

Funny how a threatened people change into the same behavior as the people doing the threatening. The Palestinian mobs (Hamas et al) have behaved like barbarians. In response the Jews have become higher tech barbarians. This is the curse on both their houses.

George W Bush: Born July 6, 1946
State of Israel: Founded May 14, 1948

Otherwise, the point is entirely over how Bush has handled the situation since undertaking the responsibilities of President of the United States. I can very easily understand the reluctance of right-wingers to discuss in that context...

Whatever happens to the Palestinians is of little concern to the Bush administration and the neocons. The most common attitude promoted is that the Palestinians are uncivilzed, violently murderous barbarians, wholly responsible for all problems and are therefore merely getting the treatment they deserve.

So people WANT the USA to be involved in THIS particular conflict???

Also how many of you believed the 'Jenin massacre' actually took place at the time???

Or the Mohammed al-Dura shooting actually happened as was shown to the world?

It is amazing how easy it is for some to willingly be fooled.

LOL since when has any administration done anything different in regard to Israel????? Clinton asked Israels permission to award the Captain of the USS Liberty a medal. A medal earned trying to save his ship and men while being attacked by Israel.... A ship that was in fact saved by a Soviet destroyer.....
Israel got as many or more walks from Clinton. This isn't a new development this has been ongoing for atleast 40 years.
What has any prez done about Israels agreesive tactics towards their neighbors, or the Palestinians? And we wonder why they as well as the rest of the Arab community hates Israel. We Americans have a very short term memory. It kicks in usually when we want to blame somebody.
