You "ain't" seen nothing yet if 3/4 of the uninsured reject this, those 1/4 buying will be the sick. The 3/4 are the ones that were supposed to pay their bills.

The IRS will be sending out tax bills to all those who will not sign up for healthcare. 2% of their paycheck the first year up to 6% the third year 2016.. taxed to death.. under Obamacare.. the younger ones will be raging mad.

Let's celebrate the lack of responsibility in the young and our desire to pay their way!!!
Are you going to force us to buy long term care insurance next?

Honestly..wait for the WH report. They will show you that everyone is signing up.
While the data won't be made public the WH will put together a report for you.

I'll wager signup goes as high as 80% if not more.

I think it shows how lazy a lot of people have become in this country. If they can't get it pretty quick, easy and cheap they don't care to be involved with it.

It's my understanding that as the law is written currently, the only way the IRS can collect that fine is by subtracting it from your tax return. A lot of people in the lower income levels get back more money in their tax return then they paid in. So if a person get back $1,000 more then the paid in, and the IRS subtracts $100 of that, the person is still getting a $900 gift from the taxpayers.

BTW, if the $100 ACA fine goes to the IRS, how does that lower health care burdens on the providers who were forced to provide them with free health care?

They'll forget about it by the next election because they'll be more concerned with what pop culture pap the media will continue to fill them up with.

Don't forget how ignorant & dumb the average American is.... and 50% of the country is more ignorant and dumber.

It's collected through your refund and the law specifically forbids the IRS from going after assets, bank accounts, criminal charges etc. Technically one can lower their refund to nothing and ignore the fine.

That's not necessarily a gift from the taxpayer and for many people it's short term interest free loan they gave to the government. Ideally when it's all said and done you shouldn't be getting a refund or owe anything.
