We are finished as a nation.
Another breathless conservative who fundamentally does not understand what is going on here.

It's an example of our species. Name something, anything, that has good intentions and tell me we don't find ways to game it and take it to such an extreme level that it makes no logical sense at all. And then we justifiy it with some reference to the Constitution, rights, and freedom. BULLSHAT!!!! It's a reflection of how animalistic we really are. Humans can't be trusted to do anything right.

That's how politics works my friends.
The Dems filibustered Bush the same way and it was wrong then too. I am glad it is changed and hope it stays that way regardless of who runs the show. We can't have a government without judges and cabinet members because one, or two senators or even a minority party are trying to be obstructive. The president, whoever that is, has a constitutional duty to make appointments. If the party that lost the election is unhappy about the appointments then the time-honored way is to change it is to win the next election.

This was no nuclear option. It was much more a drone attack that took out a couple of bad actors.

yes, have seen and accept the premis of the graph.

I also accept an escalation by republicans.

However, I would also point out that Republicans have stated that BHO is the most liberal radical president in more than a generation. Would it not therefore be the logical conclusion that Mr. Obama has nominated radicals to the bench in greater numbers and therefore based purely on idology Republicans are doing only what would be accpeted in such a case?

That's funny. All the tough talk, angry threats and bravado are coming from the rightwingers on this thread. Not to mention Mitch McConnell going apopletic that Reid finally called him out and did it.

Obama said before that doing this was a power grab, now he is all for it. Obamas hypocrisy is never ending.

Obamacare, Obamacare, Obamacare. We and democratic constituents won't be forgetting Obamacare.

fine by me, do not come crying when the pubs have control of the senate one of these years and get to do what they want because they can break a democrat filibuster with only 51 votes.

you can stick to the American people now, but sometime in the future, the republicans will stick it to the democrats and the people too.
