The federal employee insurance plans are ACA compliant.

The federal government will continue to subsidize employee insurance, regardless of how federal employees enroll.

That Congressman are buying insurance via the exchange does not mean that the cost will not continue to be subsidized by the federal government.

What's being debated is how some staffers will buy insurance, not who pays for it.

Instead of getting outraged about picking up 75% of the cost of federal employee insurance, why not take a cold hard look at pensions for Congressmen. Even expelled congressmen get a pension.
Not a bad gig for a part time job for a majority of people who arrive in Congress already in the 1% club.

Federal government employee insurance is ACA compliant. In other words, they will all be covered by Obamacare. Why does it matter to you how a federal employee buys their insurance?

No, this is about exempting a certain class of people from something the rest of us have to comply with. Why should the employer (US) have to take worse HC coverage than our employees? THAT is the issue. Not the damn money. They get better plans than the people who are paying for it. Unions do the same thing.

It was part of Obamacare law.
Reid is not breaking any law here.
Congress gave themselves that option.

Why does it matter to the federal govt. how private citizens buy their insurance? This sword cuts both ways.

But the law says otherwise.
It's "the law of the land" now.

Federal employees plans are on par with the type of plans offered by most large corporate employers that provide solid insurance benefits to their employees. They include the so-called high deductible HSA plans. These plans are now ACA compliant.
