Since the numbers have been improving each month the Fed should have no problem ending their infinite QE.

All Administrations have a vested interest in protecting their economic credo.

Good news. It's time to cut back the food stamp program and other welfare handouts more. Cutting the food stamps by not renewing the temporary increase has obviously worked to get more people to work.

Shutting down the government may have helped also. Just like the fears of the sequester were unfounded, so were the fears of fewer food stamp money unfounded.

At any rate there is no excuse to keep so many people on welfare handouts. There are plenty of jobs now.

The 101 million number is the working age Americans classified as "not in the workforce". However, Suncc499 either used the wrong number, or is pulling from info other than BLS. As of Nov. 2013, BLS is showing 91 million working age Americans not in the workforce, or 29% of the overall population.

But this is where the statistics start to get fuzzy.

In the chart, under the column "Do Not Want A Job Now", the number is 86 million people. In the footnotes for that number, it says "Includes some persons who are not asked if they want a job." That's a VERY broad interpretation, because I'm sure they didn't ask 85,985,212 people if they want a job.

Again.....so we're to believe as gospel everything coming from DC? The same statistics can always tell more than one story.

Good news. Shutting down the government, and letting the food stamps drop were a great benefit.

It's now time to end all the unemployment extensions and drastically cut back the welfare handouts. There are now plenty of jobs, and the lazy can get off their rear ends and get to work.

You seem to be arguing that since out economy did not collapse during the shut down, it means it was a good thing, That is completely untrue and has no basis in reality.
