"Put on your reading glasses. There was no contradiction. He never said the SC ruled Prop 8 unconsitutional - he said it was ruled unconstitutional by the lower court and that that lower court ruling still stands and is good law."
What I said is still true. Look at what you quoted to me:
"In the Prop 8 case, it was ruled unconstitutional, and the Supreme Court let the lower court's decision stand."
In the prop 8 case, the lower court ruled it unconstitutional, and the SC let that decision stand. Nowhere in there does he say that the SC ruled prop 8 unconstitutional.
No, it's 100% true. Stop acting like a petulant child.
Show Harrier where in the language of Prop 8 gay people were mentioned.
Don't try to be cute by citing the Proposition title, which if you know anything at all about Prop 8, you know was imposed over the objections of the initiative proponents in an attempt by the gay army to affect public perception and voting behavior.

I never said gay people were specifically mentioned in the language of Prop 8. I said it was specifically written to deny gay couples the legal rights of marriage. You really need to work on your reading comprehension (especially if you plan on taking the LSAT and going to law school).

If Prop 8 was unconstitutional, don't you think that SCOTUS would have ruled as such?
They didn't want to touch the subject - and that is telling.
The fact that the openly gay judge's ruling remains in effect is irrelevant.
SCOTUS had the opportunity to declare gay marriage a civil right for once and for all and elected to not do so.
Does this reality somehow escape you, allowing you to instead dwell in the delusion that gay marriage is somehow "protected by the constitution"?

Wrong.
It was specifically written to uphold marriage as a union between a man and a woman.
Your religion started with Abraham who was one man and several wives (the first of whom was his half-sister Sarah), some concubines and some sex slaves.
It was specifically written to uphold marriage as a union between a man and a woman.
Which has the exact and singular effect of denying the legal rights of civil marriage to gay couples.
