Are you F'ing kidding me? Anyone still want to argue that Holder isn't a full blown racist? There is nothing that can convince me otherwise.
I sure won't argue that point, because he is. From not prosecuting the New Black Panthers (that's where the voter suppression was), to his current suit against BMW-USA and Family Dollar for running criminal background checks on prospective employees because the results adversely affect blacks (the DOJ's contention in the suit), to this latest travesty.
With the institution of the tan booth "white people's" tax, and the exemption of menthol from the flavored-cigarette ban, we should have known from the beginning that this was a bigoted administration.
Blacks were charged, which is why I am surprised all the attention now that a white criminal is arrested.
The attention is about the FEDS swooping in to charge him with a hate crime. They haven't done that for any black attackers, only LOCAL authorities did and many had to be coerced to do so.

It's much more likely that the local prosecutors in Texas asked the FBI into the case.
What about the black people that knocked out white people? Is that a hate crime too? Such a double standard and Holder is a racist.
I am split on hate crime legislation, on the one hand I believe that a crime is a crime regardless, but I do know that some people are victims of racist attacks and hate crime laws punish the perpetrators with harsher penalties. No one should ever be attacked because of their race, religion, or sexual preferences.

Quite possibly, buy you can't charge it as a hate crime unless you have ACTUAL EVIDENCE that the particular black person attacked his victim because the victim was white. That evidence usually doesn't exist, even in cases that probably are hate crimes.
Here's an instance of a black on white knockout crime in which that evidence did exist, and the black criminal was charged with a hate crime for this knockout attack on a white person:
There is no double standard. Every time somebody comes on here complaining and asking "Why was this white guy charged with a hate crime, but this black guy wasn't" - the answer is always the same: in the former, prosecutors have evidence of intent, in the latter, they don't.

The guy in NY was charged with a hate crime by local officials. The issue here is why Holder and the JD just so happened to get involved in this particular case. Maybe as you suggest, local officials requested federal involvement. Maybe Texas officials declined to pursue state hate crime charges. I surely don't Know why the feds chose this case to emphasize the dastardly nature of the knockout game. Because they never got involved before this white-on-black incident, I believe race and politics part of the decision.
Hopefully people will protest about the absurdity of black teenagers not being charged with hate crimes when knocking out white people while this idiot gets that charge.
The ones who record themselves spewing racial slurs and talking about how they want to attack white people, and then run around showing their videos off to strangers? Well, it's pretty rare for anyone to do anything that stupid...
Are you saying black people are better criminals? hmmm......

They don't need to. They can charge them with a hate crime all by themselves. The locals most likely didn't act quick enough for Holder so he had to come rushing in to save the day.
