The man who was shot today was the father of a three-year old. All of the people justifying this in their bizarre way should take a look at him and his daughter and say that this little girl in any way deserves to grow up without a father because some angry, violent codger couldn't control his impulses all over someone texting:
The guy who was texting should have had a weapon and not let his guard down
Oh goody, yes, they should have had a shoot-out in a movie theater. That would have ended well. They could have shot another half-dozen whilst defending themselves.

Let's call the old man what he is...a thug. When someone is so full of rage and violence that they're willing to kill someone in a movie theater over a trivial argument--that's a thug.
Hmmmmmm, a wise man once told me.......Never pick a fight with an old man, he'll just.......you know.
It is an interesting case. A former cop, supposedly well trained, and level headed, actually doing the shooting. And the premise that guns should be banned from "public places" when the prohibition on cell phone usage in the theatre clearly had no effect on the person hell bent on using it anyway.
There's a serious lesson here, wonder how many are paying attention.......

The guy that shot him was 71 years, old. He had a full life, a family, etc. The guy he shot was much younger but hell bent on ignoring the old guy. My question is... Was it really worth it to be a jerk and have your phone out? No. Who won? It sure wasn't the younger guy.

If the ex-cop spends the rest of his life getting butt-raped in prison...did he win?
