I didn`t know that every gun owner was being blamed for the deaths of children. Got a link for that? For the record, abortion is a legal medical procedure.

Yes, sadly, it is. However, it is still the taking of a human life; the MURDER of an unborn baby. Yes, the Supreme Court has said that the right to do that is Constitutionally protected.
Of course, once that baby is born, and takes its first breath, it is ILLEGAL to kill it.

Gun ownership is also legal, and a Constitutionally protected right.

By lumping ALL gun owners under the derogatory term "gun nut" the anti-gun people ARE saying that all gun owners are to blame for the killing of children. I'll say it again, Ted Kennedy's CAR has killed more people than all the guns I have ever owned!
In fact, if ANY of you reading this have EVER been responsible for the death of another human being, YOU have killed more people than all the guns I have ever owned!

It is rather surprising that none of the rabid anti-gunners have resorted to sexual innuendo yet in this thread, as they are wont to do for some odd reason. There again, while there may be fetishists among gun owners, they are quite rare in my experience. But, it seems there are MANY antis that see guns as sexual objects. I'm sure it will be thrown into the mix soon, if it hasn't already while I was typing!

I suppose it could be worse.

According to the Centers for Disease Control's National Center for Injury Prevention and Control, 703 children under the age of 15 died in accidental firearms deaths between 2001 and 2010, the latest year for which data are available.
During the same period, 7,766 children under the age of 14 suffered accidental firearm injuries.

I can't even think about how the parents feel when their kid kills themselves or someone with the gun they left laying around.

Kids raising kids....
Then throw in ¾ of those kids are single moms
Teaching right from wrong and gaining common sense, gets thrown out the window.

There was a day, that mom watched the kids every move. Especially at that curious age.

Now moms are so preoccupied with their freak'n cell phones a tweeting, snap chatting, and facebook updates, that the kids run wild without correction.

The sad thing is, a death of child is a death of a child, how that child died does not matter, it's will always be a sad day...unless you have an agenda, such as the left....
