This post just gave away Firestein's next movie premise to take down the NRA.

It will be 2 hours of video of children being graphically gunned down onscreen with crying mothers (Streep) holding dead or dying bloody kids in their arms.

Anyone can see this is his agenda (albeit hypocritical).

No mention of the millions of dead babies though killed in the 'pro choice' debate.

I suppose it could be worse.

According to the Centers for Disease Control's National Center for Injury Prevention and Control, 703 children under the age of 15 died in accidental firearms deaths between 2001 and 2010, the latest year for which data are available.
During the same period, 7,766 children under the age of 14 suffered accidental firearm injuries.

I can't even think about how the parents feel when their kid kills themselves or someone with the gun they left laying around.
Wonder how these parents felt?

Me neither.

And yes, it could be worse - and is.

After all, we have swimming pools and play around lakes and rivers.

CDC - Water-Related Injuries Facts - Home and Recreational Safety - Injury Center

Child shootings, Mother Jones: 194 child shooting deaths in 2013 show that America has a real problem.

IF your concern is children, then ban something that would make a difference.

But, sadly, your concern is not about chilren, it's about politics and enforcing your stupid agenda.

So, you have NO CREDIBILITY AT ALL.

Exactly. Everyone knows that a fetus is the same as an adult human being. Like an acorn is an oak tree.
You might call it an acorn, but no, it's really an oak tree. Squirrels eat acorns all the time. THINK OF THE CHILDREN. BAN SQUIRRELS.

It's a thread about gun owners who are too stupid or unbalanced to own a gun. That kid didn't die because of abortion. Sounds like you need to start your own thread about abortion.

Exactly, because that kid could've killed another kid with a swimming pool.

Your credibility is awesome. I was thinking to myself the other day, "Self, when was the last time a kid killed another kid with a swimming pool?" And I came here, and you made that analogy, and I'm thinking, "Wait, when has a kid killed another with a swimming pool." and I thought, "Never." so your analogy has NO CREDIBILITY AT ALL>

Kids accidentally drown when left unattended, and a small amount of children accidentally shoot themselves or sometimes others when left unattended. The way to logically solve both problem is to place the focus on parents doing their jobs instead of focusing on banning and removing everything simply based on the actions of 0.00001% of a few irresponsible parents. So your sarcastic analogy makes NO LOGICAL SENSE AT ALL. Also, it makes no sense to say that you want to save children's lives, but do NOT want to ban objects that children could accidentally kill themselves with, but want to ONLY ban items that the same exact child could use to kill another child with. Either way you still have 1 dead kid Einstein.

Neither does your oak tree nonsense. The acorn would be seen as sperm and NOT as a growing tree. If you killed a planted seedling that just sprouted, then yes, you killed a growing oak tree... So your analogy has NO CREDIBILITY AT ALL!

Children can be taught to swim. How can a child be taught to not be shot?

Have you ever heard childhood stories from the people who grew up in the greatest generation? Or even the baby boomers? The parents basically let them run around like feral animals until the sun came down in many cases.

Beyond that, there have always been crappy parents. That is nothing new. We just hear about the results of bad parenting much more often. Some of the stuff really makes you shake your head in disgust, but in all likelihood, it's happened many times before. Personally, I think the average parent today is much more protective than previous generations, as a whole.

Stupid question... By teaching them and everyone around them about firearm safety.
