Wow, I just called out on Facebook from a FB "friend" because I was wondering where all of the white people are in this commercial. I am a gay, out, Mexican-american, but certainly not blind that the country is still 68% white. If someone not familiar with the United States saw this commercial, would they think that we were "majority-minority"? I applaud that it featured a gay couple, and an interracial couple at that. Otoh, Hollywood deletes a lot of "minority" people from media, film so I suppose that this commercial is that "in reverse"? Nobody cares to listen WHY a person expresses themselves a certain way and are too quick to judge, in my opinion.

idk if your talking about the same commercial as me but i saw one that featured "america the beautiful" and was sung in spanish, a few others. that i thought was stupid. you look at any commercial or newscast they always try to make it seem as diverse as possible

That's my point. We are not THAT diverse. But then, Hollywood & network television would have us believe that we are a 95% white country.

Oh my God, they're bringing back New Coke? That stuff sucked! I can understand why people would be angry.

LOL. And how they make all of the seniors look like they're all running marathons and rappelling off of mountain cliffs?

The Cheerios "family" are adding a puppy and no one freaked out about that this time.

Coke's polylingual anthem ad is just something new to be outraged at.

If you want to be outraged...start with the game or the quality of the ads.

The only ad that made me lol was the Doritos' Time Machine ad.
