No, just smokers whining about having to go outside to smoke their cigarettes.

Oh for cryin' out loud, you're really going to compare Zyklon B to cannabis? Next you're going to tell me that cannabis is a narcotic... Oh wait... you already think that. Despite the fact that it's not.

Anywho... a small amount of exposure to 2nd hand cannabis smoke will not harm you. Neither will the occasional exposure to 2nd hand cigarette smoke. On the other hand long term exposure to 2nd hand cigarette smoke may be harmful. I don't smoke cigarettes in my house though, as I live with 2 non-smokers. Usually I'll go outside, or if it's too cold (as it has been this year) I'll go in the garage.

Did anyone mention the people who WORK in bars, who don't smoke ? Don't they have a right to NOT endanger their health, by breathing in tobacco smoke, all day ?

Here in Canada any place where people WORK is a no smoking place, and it is a national law . Simple isn't it ? Bars, taxis, buses, trains, air ports, air planes, ships, factories, offices, hospitals, and so on, are all no smoking.

If some one is being paid to work there..... you can't smoke there.

Toronto.

You don't have a god given right to do what you want, where you want. Take it to the courts because so far the law doesn't agree with you smokers.

It has nothing to do with being old enough about making choices so stop with that nonsense or do something productive and take that to a lawyer. Or get a better argument....

No, I just don't want smokers to impose their nasty smoke on my lungs. Smoke 'em 'till you die for all I care. Just do it away from non smokers.

And this is a stupid thread anyway because smoking bans are only going to expand. The days of walking through malls, hospitals, offices, etc. leaving a trail of cancer stench are over

Smoking is the only one you listed proven to be 100% a life shortening activity, no if's, and's, or but's about it, inhaling carcinogens is detrimental to the idiot that does it, no exceptions.

OBTW, I smoked for many years, quit in 86, and still have breathing issues as a result. Smoking is stupid, and yes I did smoke, but to defend it today in light of the fact it only causes harm is beyond stupid.

Meh. I'm a smoker, but I enjoy taking it outside and think it gets gross in smoky indoor places. There was a coffee shop my friends and I used to hang out at, and it got so smoky in there that the only way it didn't bother me was if I lit up my own cigarette.

Outdoor smoking bans, on the other hand, seem to be pushing it. I try to go away from people, but if someone gets a whiff of cigarette smoke it's probably no more harmful than exhaust fumes from the cars we're all driving.
