Nah. Obama won't do diddly except go on television and look stern and maybe hit Putin with a sanction or two. In reality both Obama and the EU will be grabbing their ankles over anything Putin does. The EU doesn't want to get their gas lines shut down, and our military doesn't trust Obama to punch his way out of a wet paper bag. Game, set and match to Putin.

Lol, you mean like when the Russians invaded Georgia in 2008 and the U.S. and the EU did nothing?

Possible a new Chechnya for Russia, with the added Ukrainian National debt, ethnic hatred and a history of bloodshed coupled with the possibility of Sanctions and Boycotts against Russia - so good luck with that Russia.

Does this mean England gets the 2018 World Cup after all

uh oh...here comes the "let me be clear, we are outraged" statement. Once Putin stops laughing, maybe this time he'll be terrified because this time gosh darn it, Obama really, truly, why-don't-you-guys-stop-teasing-me, honest to gosh is outraged!!

You mean Putie-poot, W's soul mate? You recall Russia invaded Georgia on Bush's watch, yes?

Ukraine's eastern half is ethnic Russian. Putin needs to hold on to Sebastopol, his navy's Black Sea port. Ukraine is going into bloody civil war, and will likely split along ethnic lines, with Crimea becoming a Russian vassal state, and a weak, shaky Ukrainian govt in Kiev.

There's not a god damn thing Obama, or ANY US president can or should do about this. This is between Russia and the Ukraine. It doesn't involve the US.
