Lots of people are computer illiterate, especially older people. I work with a guy in his mid 50's who hates computers and refuses to do paperwork on it, rather do it by hand, even though it takes him 3 times as long.

With all the hacking going on, can't say I blame people.

Not only does he tell illegal immigrants that it won't go to immigration, he sits there and tells them all it's Congress' fault that he can't keep them all here. What a pile of S*** he is.

Obama Promises Illegals: Obamacare Sign Up Info Won't Be Used for Deportation | The Weekly Standard

(This is the written transcript of what was on the video.)

Quote:
"It's true that the undocumented are not eligible [for Obamacare], that's how the law was written, but if you are a U.S. citizen or you have a legal presence in this country, you are eligible," he said. "And none of the information that is provided in order for you to obtain health insurance is in any way transferred to immigration services. So that's something we've been very clear about. If you live in a mixed status family, then the son who could potentially be eligible for the children's health insurance program or some other mechanism to get health insurance, he needs to be signed up. And the mother should not be fearful that in any way that's going to affect -- of course I understand the fear."

Obama blamed Congress for deportations. And he said he has already stretched his "administrative capacity very far" by taking immigration actions using "prosecutorial discretion," but that he was "very confident that was the right thing to do."

The president finished answering this question by saying, "So, for everybody out there who's in a mixed family, there is no sharing of the data from the health care plan in to immigration services. You should feel confident that if somebody in your family is eligible, you should sign them up."
Nice way of telling the entire family to sign up.

An amendment offered by Rep. Dean H eller (R - NV) at the Ways & Means Committee markup would have required that enrollees in the public plan , or those seeking affordability credits, must verify eligibility with the Income Eligibility Verification System (IEVS) and the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) system. That amendment was rejected by the committee on a party - line vote. As currently written, the bill would allow illegal aliens to freely enroll in the public plan.

...Over the years, Congress has required various methods to ensure that only eligible individuals receive federal public benefits. The most effective of these methods involves the requirement that an agency or employer confirm eligibility with a verification database. Examples of effective databases to verify eligibility include the SAVE system, which confirms an individual is a citizen or qualified alien (as defined by the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996, more commonly known as the “Welfare Reform Act of 1996”) 2 and is therefore eligible for certain benefits; IEVS, which confirms income eligibility for purposes of certain means - tested benefits like Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF); or the E-Verify system, which confirms an individual is work - authorized in the United States. A lesser method to screen for benefit eligibility would be to require applicants to self -attest eligibility, subject to penalties of perjury, on a benefit enrollment form. This method is unreliable because it depends solely on the honesty of applicants and also fails to actually determine an applicant’s eligibility. The health care reform bill does not require the use of any verification database to determine eligibility for affordability credits. Likewise, this bill does not require any screening or self-attestation by applicants to determine eligibility foraffordability credits. Instead, Section 246 bars illegal aliens from receiving affordability credits but contains no enforcement method to ensure compliance so as to preclude ineligible individuals from receiving that benefit.
Etc, etc, etc.

President Obama: we'll provide heath care to illegal aliens

Quote:
President Obama said today (8-20-09) that the "basic standard of decency" requires that illegal aliens be provided emergency room care even if they don't have insurance if they need treatment. He had previously said that illegals would not be eligible for medical care under his plan.

So Obamacare will not correct the problem of hospitals having to provide essentially free health care to anyone, including illegal aliens, who present themselves to care.

Perhaps you read between too many lines. It's a condition called paranoia.

Oh please, stick your head in the sand a little deeper. You're talking about people who have ALREADY BROKEN THE LAW by being here illegally, now you think they're suddenly going to follow the law?

Oh, and guess what? You're still going to pay for them at the E/R, thanks to your messiah.

Let's try and stick to reality. How exactly do you believe they are signing up when they have no documentation to verify?
