What misinformation? That Hubert Humphrey was a Democrat, as were many others who helped pass the Civil Rights Act through a Democrat-controlled Congress, is an easily verifiable historical fact.
But it's a fact that makes you uncomfortable, so you refuse to acknowledge it.

They don't see how saying the non white people only support the Democratic party because of free money while most white people are able to resist and vote Republican is evidence of a deeply prejudiced mindset.
They don't see how saying that getting money from the government keeps non white people poor and lazy is evidence of a deeply prejudiced mindset.
Especially when everyone with eyes can see that no group has gotten or continues to get as much money directly from the government as white people who also happen to be the wealthiest group of people in the nation.

When white people get a handout from the government it's because they are hard-working and they deserve it. When people of color get the exact same handout from the government, it's because they're lazy, useless leeches. The sad thing is, the right truly, honestly believes it to be true, so they can't see the inherent racism in stating it as a "fact."
