All politicians are crooks to some degree or another. How a civilized, first world country can possibly think that turning most of the justice system into a political circus serves any kind of justice is just plain loco.
Electing LEOs Judges and DAs is just complete craziness. This is very well reflected in the near total dysfunction of Justice in the USA!!!!

arpaio is now requesting closed door settlement discussions. it would seem that "america's toughest sheriff" is afraid of the public knowing something.

arpaio admits to contempt of court:

AZ Sheriff Joe Arpaio admits to contempt of court, accepts civil sanctions - UPI.com

arpaio is hoping this will convince the judge cancel a hearing against joe in april. we shall see.

Yeah, but will he? Or will he just get fined, and pass the cost on to the taxpayers of the county? Arpaio's actions have cost Maricopa County millions of dollars already over the years. Any fines should come out of his pocket, and if that means he has to liquidate everything he owns and declare bankruptcy, so be it. But it probably won't happen. He seems to get away with his lawlessness again and again.
