God gives the same rights to all people. We defend the rights that God has given us. North Korea defends whatever their leader wants.

That's just an appeal to authority to justify breaking with the Crown - who weirdly enough also got its right to rule from God. That God fellow sure likes to hedge his bets. That being said, you'll notice how our rights are implemented by very secular instutions, not churches.
