Thank you liberals for turning a once great nation into a third world banana republic.
My children also thank you for destroying their economic future.

The extreme whacko Left thinks the United States, by 2030, should be carbon-free (and nuclear-free), meaning that wind, solar and hydro can drive our entire economy, plus provide enough energy to charge 150 million electric cars.

I'm not making this up. Google carbon-free 2030. They are out there. And they have nut jobs like Al Gore on their side. If the Republicans were smart, they would make this a major campaign issue.

Memo to environmentalist whackos - solar panels on your roof do not work when the sun doesn't shine. Windmills don't work when there is no wind. Hydro is great, but cannot be expanded to any extent.

Just his pipeline special pandering has cost crude gas users a lot already besides putting them in danger.

EPA regulations to increase natural gas prices 150 percent | The Daily Caller
I read the article and its a 7% increase in the price of electricity over 11 years. During the same period to 2025 the wholesale price of natural gas will increase about 60% which will lead to the 7% increase. The 150% increase is by the year 2040. The Daily Caller makes it look like its some sort of doomsday scenario. They also didnt separate out the cost of electricity from a gas fired plant and the cost from a coal fired plant. The article tries to make it look like a 7% increase is outrageous.

We are going to dam near all wood burning to heat our home. This winter we were socked on propane and at one point we paid 4.29 a gal. I am very lucky I live somewhere that I can control cost.

These new standards will avert up to 11,000 premature deaths, 4,700 heart attacks and 130,000 asthma attacks every year.
  • The value of the air quality improvements for people's health alone totals $37 billion to $90 billion each year. That means that for every dollar spent to reduce this pollution, Americans get $3-9 in health benefits.
  • The benefits are widely distributed and are especially important to minority and low income populations who are disproportionately impacted by asthma and other debilitating health conditions.
  • Up to 540,000 missed work or "sick" days will be avoided each year, enhancing productivity and lowering health care costs for American families.
- EPA
But don't expect right-wingers to actually care about people's lives and health more than money (and especially when the lives and health we're talking about improving are more so that of minorities poor people). Any moral sense of human decency is an anathema to right-wingers. And it would be even more ridiculous to try to get them to acknowledge that this is a compromise (since the standards could have been a lot more restrictive).

Why in the world would you believe this nonsense? "Up to 540,000 missed work days." Where does that number come from? Why not 650,000? Why not 250,000?

And when you use the term "up to," it could be 52 missed work days, couldn't it?

Amazing how the sheeple fall for government propaganda.

Why do they want us to be so much like China with a trashed, polluted environment? When Lake Erie caught on fire, toxic sludge was dumped into rivers, streams, and oceans, raw sawage pumped into oceans, etc.
