Do they plan on spending the entire time holding hearings on Benghazi? Is there truly nothing else of importance?
The good news is that they can now roll the Benghazi hearings into fund raising giving them more time off at home.

The board liberals love it, of course. These are exactly the kind of people they need for their agenda: uncritical simps who will ignore their crimes and never associate the country's slide with them, while letting them go on committing them without bound.

You've gotta love conservatives who allow a television "news" station to crank them up so far that they can no longer think independently or use common sense.

The Obama regime has bigger things to answer for than who's responsible in one of over a dozen terrorist attacks in the last 20 years. The administration should be held accountable for renewed attacks against Afghanistan and illegal attacks on Libya, Pakistan, and Yemen. Accountable for warrantless wiretapping, it's use of drones and unlimited detention of suspected terrorists. Clinton should have been held accountable for invading Serbia but what was he eventually found accountable of? A hummer in the White House.

Bush - Wasn't held accountable for illegally invading Iraq and Afghanistan even though it was obvious to the entire world that his reasons were based on lies. The Bush administration also sponsored torture (which really, every war breeds) illegal wiretaps and illegally detaining US citizens. What makes you think that after spending tens of millions of dollars "investigating" Benghazi a culprit will emerge? Just like Issa's committee on wrongdoing in the IRS found nothing, so will this witch hunt into Benghazi.

In the unlikely event that this investigation goes anywhere, when it comes down to brass tacks, it can be deterred by claims of national security. Almost everything our elected officials do can be said to be done in the interest of the country and exposing them would be against our security interests. 13 hearings, 50 briefings and 25,000 pages of documents and here we go again. Maybe this time, public opinion will punish the GOP for wasting what little time Congress has in session with this trivial crap. It's only purpose is to make a president, who has no problem making himself look bad, look even worse. This is playing party politics at it's worst.

OK, I looked it up and it seems to apply very accurately to Democrats who voted to go to war in Iraq in 2002 and then, on the eve of the 2004 election, decided they didn't really mean to authorize war when they voted to authorize war and they were deceived by Bush who is an idiot and they were smart enough to realize he was lying but only after the war started.

Here's an educational video on the subject...

Democrats before Iraq War started.... - YouTube

The difference between Iraq and Benghazi is we had every reason to believe Saddam Hussein had chemical weapons because he used them on his own citizens and there was no verified destruction of these weapons while the video that was alleged to have caused a spontaneous uprising in Benghazi was known by the administration to not be the cause of the attack on our personnel. Furthermore, the many requests for additional security that were ignored by the state department combined with inaction during the attack, massive coordinated cover-up following the event and continual stonewalling reveal breathtaking incompetence, indifference and callousness on the part of the President and the Secretary of State.

With perfect hindsight of course they do, just as people ignoring the warnings about Osama Bin Laden. Most rational people look at the warnings about Osama, shrug and say "hey we should have done it differently". But the Far right has tried to turn this into something more, and near as I can tell its not. Mistakes were made, but nothing rising to the level of incompetency or negligence.

When incorrect information was provided to the president, and he repeated that, he is accused of being a liar. The reality is-incorrect information about the DESCRIPTION of the attack was provided.

Seriously, this is tiresome.

It's one thing for private citizens to make such bad taste jokes but those in public office should know better.

Yes, all the questions were asked, but as newly released emails show, not all questions were answered or answered truthfully. Why was the ambassador in Bengazi when it was known to be a dangerous area? Why were repeated request for additional security denied? Why wasn't the standard practice of increasing US Embassy security the week of September 11 in Muslim nations not carried out in a Muslim country that just had a revolution that included Muslim terrorist fighting on the winning side? Why didn't the US State Department nor the White House give the order to send in troops to secure US property and our ambassador?

Here are better questions:

Why haven't these GOP "investigations" gone anywhere? How come they're in exactly the same place they were a year ago? Where's the beef?

If the GOP "investigations" turn out to be simple political grandstanding (they are) then that means the Pubs are using the Benghazi deaths for nothing other than smearing political opponents. Not that anyone expects them to be above that sort of thing.
