It's ridiculous to me that one County Judge can overturn a law that was enacted by the vast majority of the state's voters. I'm glad the state Supreme Court is speaking up.

Speaking up in the cause of bigotry is nothing to be glad about. Eventually, it'll be straighten out. Justice will prevail and marriage equality will win out.

Because the majority can't vote away rights
If they could women and minorities wouldn't be able to vote

Do you really, honestly think that, in 2014, a majority would vote to prevent women or minorities from voting? (BTW - women are, by definition, not a minority as they are the majority and majority of voters).

It would take a long longer than one generation to fully regress a hundred and fifty years of social progress.

This is relevant because...?

Feel free to answer my question.

(BTW - I do not believe in strict "majority rule," but that isn't relevant to my post.)

... it was a very relevant reply to a specific question you asked.

I'm sorry you're upset that it broke your narrative. You'll find that as much as you promote indefensible perspectives, that's going to happen to you a lot.

Indefensible perspectives? Do tell what indefensible perspectives I have.

Focus on what I said. I asked a question in response to an absurd claim.

Back on topic: I don't believe voters would take away voting rights from women or nonwhites, but in Arkansas, I do believe that if they voted again on same-sex marriage, it would remain banned. And that is fine with me.
