TSA check misses empty AK-47 clips in Yemeni man’s luggage
TSA check misses empty AK-47 clips in Yemeni man

Great job. Probably would have found the clips if they were on a toddler or handicap elderly American.

After all this time the media still doesn't know the difference between a magazine and a clip.

Unless he had an AK hiding up his @#$$% and ammo in his ear hole I don't see what the big deal was about. Do the media and other clowns think empty mags kill people too? I guess one could hit someone over the head with one.....or not.

Two guys had 10 pieces of luggage? That's enough of a red flag right there.

In 'Nam we called all of them clips. I carried extra shotgun rounds in a cloth bag and reloaded as needed.

What is the issue? Bullets in checked baggage - so what. It isn't like they had a gun with the bullets in their carry-on.

Crap reporting to stir up hysteria about what should be a non-issue.

Yep....but what is a "magazine clip"? Must be a real thing, it's in the news. Is like "military grade" semi-auto rifles?

eta, from the article:

Quote:

A TSA spokeswoman said, “The TSA does not require ammunition and/or empty
magazine clips to be declared to the airline, and the TSA is not actively
searching for [them] in checked luggage.”
Yep, I guess you do have to pass a test for stupid before being hired by the TSA. Betcha this one scored real high.
