The measles threat continues to grow, thanks to the anti-vaccination movement. In the most worrisome report yet in a lengthening sequence, [b]the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said this week that it had documented 288 cases in the United States this year through May 23. The anti-vaccination movement drives measles to a 20-year record high*-*Los Angeles Times

Seriously, Jenny McCarthy is probably directly responsible for the deaths of literally hundreds of children since she started her ignorant anti-vaccine campaign based on voodoo science. People have been hanged for much, much less.

Sure, why not. Prove they were "typhoid Mary" and then lock them up for life.
Go for it..remove anyone from society that has different beliefs.

I understand that this latest bout of measles was due to Amish missionaries having gone to the Philippines.

And thanks to rampant anti-vax paranoia, mostly in Pakistan, polio is making a comeback there and in certain other parts of the world.

POLIO.

I bet that makes the anti-vax idiots in this country feel all warm 'n' fuzzy, knowing they share a belief system with the Taliban.

If smallpox ever came back and the response were left up to the anti-science crowd, hundreds of millions would die.

Schools have vaccination requirements but also have a religious exemption. Close that loophole.

How anti-vaxxers fuel the spread of polio

Something we actually agree on. Anti-vaxxers share the same beliefs as people who follow Sharia Law.

The USG can easily change our system so that proof of vaccination is required to enter or leave the county.
If you can't control it you can certainly contain it.

There is no vaccine for MERS and you should be more worried about that coming into the country.

So now free speech and unpopular beliefs should be punishable by hanging?

Absolutely not. Mom and Dad were certainly told by their pediatrician, likely numerous times, that vacs were recommended for their child and the risks of not having them. The parents chose not to follow medical advice and instead listen to wackadoodles preaching pseudo-science, sadly.
