What exactly did Bush do in 2008 to "tank the economy" ?
You do realize that ARMS started resetting in 2007. Bush did not set the interest rate on ARMS did he ?

Isn't it amazing how the BLS is smart enough to "lie" about the UE rate of 6.3% but somehow not smart enough to "lie" about the statistics you mention above?

You folks and your ignorant and illogical "the government is lying about the UE rate" just crack me up.

"The government lies about the UE rate" but "tells the truth about the LFPR and other stats" you cherry pick?

Do you even have a CLUE how stoooooopid that sounds?

Ken

Same argument I use for those who claim Obama has no blame now. Bush picked a complete and total imbecile to run the Fed under his watch. Yes he is to blame.

Those stats aren't the ones used for monthly headlines.

So the Bush tax cuts made the mortgage industry crater in 2007 ?
Remember it was housing that crashed and started the chain reaction.

What did the Bush tax cuts do to housing in 2008 ?

And what did Paulsen do to cause the housing crash in 2007 ?

The Fed doesn't control lending standards do they ?
The Fed doesn't put a AAA stamp on subprime mortgages trading on Wall Street, do they ?

I can expand my argument but I figured that was enough. Those he appointed were suppose to do all of that but didn't. It goes back further than Bush though.

Greenspan has admitted he erred. I can't comprehend why people still ask him his opinion on economics.
