And the recent obsession with soccer in the US is now officially over. Thankfully

Current driver Kasey Khane is from Enumclaw.

Daytona 500 winner Derricke Cope is from Spanaway.

(For those unfamiliar with these locations, they are a town southeast of Seattle and a suburb of Tacoma, respectively).

Miami and Tampa had teams, and then they folded. Texas isn't a part of the Southeast(FC Dallas and FC Houston).

Atlanta and Orlando are getting MLS teams in the next few years. However, I get the point about Seattle, being a Sounders fan.

And where in Washington State are they racing?

I feel the same way about NFL and NCAA football or basketball. I'm just not into NFL, NBA, or NCAA football and basketball. They don't appeal to me. I've liked soccer better.

Why do you not like soccer?

I know they're getting teams but I doubt they'll get much support from the Ann Coulter lovers in the South.

Well, they both raced on the Northwest circuit before making the jump to Nationwide and Sprint Cup.

There are tracks in Monroe, Kent, Tenino, and a bunch east of the Cascades.

Auto racing is a national sport, not a regional one.

No support from Ann Coulter lovers. However, they might get support from those on the other end of the spectrum in Atlanta. And Florida is a bit different from the rest of the South.
